Short version: if you fill in the contact form, I use what you send to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to do the work. I don’t sell it, I don’t hand it to advertisers, and I don’t email you things you didn’t ask for.

Who you’re dealing with

Design by Munk is run by me, Frederik Munk Mortensen, as a sole trader in Denmark. If you have any question about your details, or you want me to change or delete them, email contact@design-by-munk.com and I’ll sort it.

What I collect

• What you type into the contact form — your name, your email, your social handle if you add it, what you race, your next race, and your message.
• Basic website logs — my host keeps standard server logs (things like IP address and browser) to keep the site running and secure. That’s the host’s doing, not something I look at.
• No tracking — there’s no analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party cookies on this site right now. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you’ll see a cookie notice.

Why I have it, and the legal bit

I use your details to answer your enquiry and to take the first steps towards working together if you want to — under GDPR that’s “steps prior to entering a contract” and my legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me. If you become a client, I keep what I need to run the work and send invoices.

Who else sees it

Just me. The form and the site are hosted with simply.com in Denmark, and email runs through a normal email provider, so those two companies process it on my behalf to make the thing work. Nobody else. It stays in the EU.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries that don’t go anywhere — deleted within about a year.
• Client records and invoices — kept while we work together, and after that for as long as Danish bookkeeping law requires me to (currently five years from the end of the financial year).

What you can ask for

You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email me and I’ll do it, normally within a few days. If you think I’ve handled your details badly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).
